Rethinking Rick Warren
While I love the idea of politics becoming more inclusive and less bogged down in the mire of paranoia, mudslinging and awfulizing, I think Barack has blown it with his selection of Rick Warren for his inaugural invocation.
Warren speaks. The Left freaks.
We progressives love to be offended. But has anybody noticed how Obama’s inviting Rick Warren to do his invocation looks from the Right’s point of view? Maybe Barack wants to show the 40% of country who didn’t vote for him — and who are scared to death of him and his middle name — that he’s going to be their president, too.
